From old photographs we learned that this room was used as a conservatory and as access to the roof over the front porch.  The large window in this room raises into the large oval window in the attic allowing the window to be used for access to the roof.  Early photos showed this window originally had small double screen doors on  it.  In later years, this room was turned into a bathroom.  It was returned to its original use in 2004.
