This room represents the history of the many local doctors and dentists from our area. The old wooden wheelchair is from the Quaker Heights Nursing Home behind the museum. The medicine bags are from various local doctors when doctors made house calls. The history of Dt. Mary L. Cook is on the door. She was a much-loved women who went to medical school when she was 40 and practiced for 51 years in the Waynesville area. Never marrying, she spent her later years at the Friends Home.
