The Museum at the Friends Home culls the most fascinating legends & lore to delight visitors of all ages during our Historic Haunts tour of downtown Waynesville. History buffs will enjoy tales of the 215-year-old Village’s famous and infamous personalities. Each two-hour walk highlights fascinating, historically based legends from the area's unique past based on first and second-hand accounts of experiences that defy explanation. Tour guides will recount some of Waynesville’s favorite legends & lore; some linked to historically based legends from the area and many stories from experiences by the locals.
