The land was owned by Elizabeth Satterthwaite in 1850.  This house was built in 1869 by I.H. Harris, a local prominent banker.  The first owner was William Jones. Other owners included Allen Haines, Maude Crane, Leo Perry and James Bailey.  The only major changes to the structure have involved installing bathrooms, converting the original eating area into a kitchen and converting the original kitchen into a family room.  An unusual feature is the niches for statuary found in the kitchen and upstairs bedroom. The home is currently owned by the Stemple family.
