Waynesville Wanderings DVD

Waynesville Wanderings: An Oral Video History of Waynesville and Vicinity from Early Pioneers through the 1970s - DVD

Waynesville Wanderings offers a personal stroll down memory lane. The unique heritage of northern Warren County covers early Quaker settlers, the establishment of businesses and communities throughout the area, the devastating fire that destroyed most of Main Street, and more. Revisit the Mill Race swimming pool that cooled so many youngsters and share the tragic loss of New Burlington to Caesars Creek reservoir.

Producer Jud Yalkut filmed nearly a dozen hours of interviews with 17 individuals. Personal reminiscences are interspersed with scenes of local historic sites and old photographs from the Museum's extensive archives, all backed by traditional music from the Dulcimer Friends of Caesars Creek. Yalkut condensed these treasures into 60-minute time capsule for the Wayne and Massie Township areas. The DVD is available to local schools and libraries, as well as by sale to the public, to keep the memories alive.
