Ghost Hunting Classes

 

  • June 30th, July 16th, and September 24th, 2022

    • The class will be conducted by Paravizion, a well-known and respected paranormal investigation group from Middletown, Ohio. The class will familiarize students with the latest in ghost-hunting electronics. Plus, we will visit Waynesville haunted sites and with the experts helping, use some of the technology to hunt ghosts at the Museum.

Summer Ghost Walks

​

  • Guided tours of either Main Street or Quaker Hill will be held on the dates shown below. Tours begin at 7:45 P.M. Pre-paid groups of 10 or more can be scheduled for other dates upon request. Reservations can be made on the Museum’s website or by phone. Children under 12 are free. Dates for these tours are April 9th & 13th, May 14th & 28th, June 11th & 25th, July 9th & 23rd, August 5th & 20th, and September 10th.

Gigantic Garage Sale

 

  • The dates are to be determined.

    • This is the ultimate trash and treasure sale with irresistible prices. This sale is a major moneymaker for the Museum to enable it to continue its mission. Many, many members of the greater Waynesville community donate items and often help sell the items. Please continue donating and buying.

October Ghost Walks

 

  • Dates for these tours are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, October 12th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 28th, and 29th.  Please make reservations early since these tours fill up quickly.  We have two separate walks available in October: Main Street Tour and the Quaker Hill Tour. Tours start at 7:45 P.M. Children under 12 are free. Both tours are entertaining and informative.

Ghost & Goblet dinners at the Hammel House

​

  • Enjoy dinner at the newly restored Hammel House while storytellers from the Museum at the Friends Home tell ghost stories. Storytellers from the Museum at the Friends Home will entertain you during dinner by relating ghost stories told to use by local citizens over the years. After dinner, we will lead you on a walking tour of the Historic District and tell more exciting tales. At the end of the walk, you will visit the Friends Museum (also haunted) and enjoy light refreshments. Reservations and pre-payment are required. The dates for these tours are October 1st, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Please make reservations early since these tours fill up quickly.

Bi-Annual Christmas Tour of Homes

​​

  • The Museum sponsors a tour of local Waynesville homes that are splendidly decorated for Christmas. This event is coordinated with the Waynesville Christmas in the Village Celebration. The Home Tour will occur from Noon till 7:00 P.M. Pre-sale tickets are available and can also be purchased on the day of the event. The date is tentatively set for Saturday, December 3rd (every other year), depending on Covid-19.
